My new camera - and other things I love - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion
2021 · 15. June 2021
I became a bit unhappy with my old EOS 400D from 2006 recently. The pictures turned out too dark and slightly blurry, so I had to do a lot of editing. So it was time for a new model. The 800D has double the pixels, a rotatable touch screen - so I can see what I'm doing - and a video function, just to name the three most important differences for me. So here are my first shots.

What I've been up to in May - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion
2021 · 24. May 2021
Maybe it's the weather that doesn't feel like it's the end of May already. On the positive side, things are opening up again. I could meet friends in a beer garden, and it was lovely. I got my first dose of vaccine, and I'm getting tattoed later today. In this blog post, I'll tell you a bit about what I'm working on for Zebraspider and what other news happened or are coming up soon.

5 Reasons bamboo clothing is not as eco-friendly as you think - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion Blog
2021 · 26. April 2021
If you're just a bit into eco-friendly clothing, you probably came across bamboo. It is often marketed as a sustainable option but without giving further information on why. Let's take a closer look beyond that green bamboo picture, and we'll see some problems. It's not all negative, though. I will leave you with some advantages and links to read or watch more.

Zebraspider in the Punkrock-Shop! - Zebraspider Eco Anti-Fashion Blog
2021 · 01. February 2021
This post is mostly for my readers in Germany because you can now get my patches and some other products without worrying about international shipping and customs fees. I'd like to introduce the Punkrock-Shop, which is both an online shop and a market place for punk music, clothing and much more. As a place from punks for punks, I am happy to be a part of it and hope it keeps growing.

What this Blog is about - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2021 · 25. January 2021
Welcome to all old and new readers of this blog! I think it's a good time for an introduction and roundup of what to expect. First, I switched to blogging in English in October 2019, and now more people from all over the world seem to find me. Secondly, after a bit of a hiatus in 2020, I'm back with a range of exciting topics while staying true to the blogs past. I'm planning a new post once a week again and aiming for Monday, but don't pin me down to this. I have so much to tell you, so here...

What and how I've been doing - Part 2 Lockdown - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2020 · 26. August 2020
I'm back with the second part of my retrospect of the last months. In June, I was able to return to work at the university with reduced time. It was good to be back and getting things done again, but still having some free time, being based on 5-hour-shifts in the mornings or afternoons. I kept doing my creative projects, decluttering the house, and some gaming.

What and how I've been doing - Part 1 Lockdown - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2020 · 17. August 2020
As for many of you, my way of living changed drastically with the lockdown at the end of March here in the UK. My job is mainly lab-based, so only being able to do computer work at home was a significant change. But it also took off a lot of pressure, and the importance of things shifted. The need for constant output, including this blog, somehow vanished, and I had finally the time to think.

Crochet against low mood - red fishnet top - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2019 · 23. December 2019
I haven't been in a nice place recently. It probably was a combination of a stressful summer, dealing with colds in autumn and not a lot of energy left for creative projects. My mood was declining with the light and I thought picking up a simple crochet project might help. It did. Well, a bit at least. So today I'd like to tell you the story of the red fishnet top.

New stencil print zipper pouches - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2019 · 04. December 2019
You did't hear from me in a while. I had to take a pause from weekly blogging and also from social media. I was so busy preparing for the markets in October that I was a bit exhausted (and also a bit sad that the selling wasn't so successful as I thought it would be). But I created a lot of new things during that time that will make it into the shop bit by bit. Today, I'd like to tell you about the new zipper pouches.

Goth Market Haul and Halloween Decorations - Zebraspider DIY Anti-Fashion Blog
2019 · 28. October 2019
This was intended to be two separate posts, but it's almost Halloween (eeek!) and I wanted to show you everything before. I did two markets in October, so I didn't have the time to do a Halloween DIY like usual. But I did a workshop with Skullduggery Ceramics earlier this month for some Halloween all-year decorations that are finished now. Today I'd like to tell you a also bit about the markets and show you the nice stuff I found.
